How They Met

Chris returned home from his mission in the fall of 2003 and then attended a semester at BYU-Idaho. The next fall, he moved to Provo, Utah to attend BYU. He and some friends found an apartment complex close to campus, where they hoped to find true love. Staci had also started school at BYU that fall, and had lived in the dorms on campus the first semester of her college experience. Then, at the beginning of the second semester, she decided she needed a change. So in the winter of 2005, she moved into a new apartment building, which happened to be where Chris was. They met through Staci's new roomates and became good friends through church and other activities like "Tuesday night 8:21 pm water polo," and "Thursday movie night." They soon found that they shared a lot of similar interests. They enjoyed each other's company and continued their friendship into the summer, when Chris went home to Boise to work for his dad, and Staci went back to Albuquerque to manage the local swimming pool. August found Chris and Staci back in Provo and back around each other. They started spending more and more time together and pretty soon they were inseparable. Before long Chris realized that instead of telling her about his dates and asking her advice about dating, he should be dating Staci. She was the one he wanted to be with all of the time anyway, and that was clearly what she wanted. They dated the remainder of the year and into the summer. Except for the one month that Chris volunteered in Mexico, they spend the summer together. The following school year began and Chris proposed, much to Staci's surprise, who thought the day would never come. Chris's dream of finding true love came true, and they are excited to begin their life's journey together.
